How To Take A Sample

Taking a sample is very easy.  There are just a couple of issues to be aware of.   Hair should be ampled only after it has remained unwashed for about 8 hours, so if you wash your hair in the evening then your hair can be sampled first thing in the morning.

The place to sample is close to the skin of the scalp.  Only the first 1 to 1 1/2 inches of hair from the scalp side, not the end of the hair strains is suitable for the sample.

Concerning hair treatment:  1. if the hair has been dyed,  it needs to be washed for nearly two weeks in order to be usable.  2. if the hair has been permed, the hair is acceptable to be sampled after 30 days.
